It is the first book printed in Pescia Printing House. This is what is written on the walls of our printing press and if we associate that date to the invention of Gutenberg's movable type printing, we can understand how the city of Pescia is one of the first cities to see the expansion of this new art and in particular to have one of the first printing houses in Italy.
In early 1900, Mr. Artidoro Benedetti joins with Mr. Gino Niccolai to create a print shop, then in 1930 Artidoro remains alone at the helm of his company, which continues its activities, recruiting staff during the second world war. Gino Necciari, started working in the printing when he was still very young, he learn the craft and, in later years became the sole owner, deciding to call his print shop "Benedetti", to pay homage to the one who has driven it for many years.
